After the Uganda Liberation Struggle that ended 1986.

With lost  live and  many orphans left behind, The Army Leadership found it in order to set up schools with barracks to educate fallen comrades Children.

With the majority of the orphans falling  under Primary. The Military High Command decided to set up both a Primary and a Secondary Education Model schools.

The first ever Model Primary School was Jinja Army Boarding Primary School and as the children grew older, Directives were issued to have a Model Army Secondary School be set up.

This  did not take effect until 1992 when the Directorate of Education whose Hq was in Mbuya assigned and posted a one Bayise Mukasa to then Nakasongola Complex where some old structures were identified to start the Model Army Secondary school.

This  Project failed to kick off because the Army did not have the funds until 1993 when it was  kicked off.

This was  just the beginning;

The success of these first model Army Primary and Secondary Schools brought the birth of other army, police and prisons schools and later the birth of the Universal primary and Secondary Education.

With this initiative; hundreds of thousands have passed through, educated and benefited from the about system.

Our new facility provides us with enough space for expansion and self sustainable projects and practical subjects.

With improved infrastructural development, agricultural experiments and with the support of the Alumni, we are starting to utilize every available opportunities to empower our current students and the administration.

We also intend to increase the boarding section as well a science laboratory and library.
